The Rotary Club of Lakeway/Lake Travis has made a lasting impact on their community by donating $50,000 toward the new Lakeway Activity Center Playscape Project. Supported by the May 2024 Parks Improvement Bond, this innovative playscape has been designated as a PLAYCORE National Demonstration Site for meeting the highest standards of inclusive design, nature integration, and active play.
This new space will provide children of all ages and abilities with opportunities for physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. The playscape combines natural features like boulders, logs, trees, and landscaping with shade structures, musical play elements, and safety-tested equipment designed to meet or exceed ADA and playground safety standards.
