We invite you to consider membership in the Rotary Club of Lakeway/Lake Travis, where your skills and vision can contribute to meaningful service initiatives locally and globally.
Step One – Attend a Meeting
Our club convenes most Thursdays (excluding the first Thursday of each month) at noon at Salt Grass Steakhouse, 12613 Galleria Circle, Bee Cave, TX 78738. Prospective members are encouraged to attend meetings to learn about our mission, values, and ongoing projects. If you are interested in forming new connections while making a positive impact in the community and beyond, we welcome you to join us for three meetings prior to moving forward with membership.
Step Two – Membership Application
To apply, please complete the online membership application available here and submit it for consideration. Upon submission, our board of directors will review your application. The initiation fee is $100, payable to Rotary Club of Lakeway/Lake Travis and given to Treasurer Mike Bates.
Step Three – New Member Orientation
New members are invited to attend an orientation event scheduled several times throughout the year. These sessions provide information on member responsibilities and opportunities for involvement within the club.
Membership Obligations
- The Rotary fiscal year extends from July through June.
- Members’ credit cards are automatically billed monthly according to the selected plan. The standard rate is $75.00 per month, which includes $28.00 for lunch meals. Alternatively, members may pay $20.00 per meal if attending fewer meetings each month; prepaying is more cost-effective for those attending multiple lunches
Rotary International Foundation: Voluntary Annual Contribution
Members are encouraged to support the Rotary Foundation with a voluntary annual donation of $100. Many opt for automatic monthly contributions by following this link and selecting “DONATE NOW”.
Attendance Policy
While Rotary International no longer mandates 50% attendance at club meetings, participation in committee meetings, service projects, and events at other clubs applies toward overall attendance. This flexibility allows members ample opportunity to remain engaged. Many strive for 100% attendance, achievable through available makeup meetings.
Transferring Rotarians
If you are transferring from another Rotary Club, please complete the Membership Application and coordinate with Membership Chairs Karen Green and Marylee Zurick, as well as Secretary Amy Weldon, to facilitate the transfer process. We are committed to ensuring your Rotary history and records are retained via MyRotary.
