This is a Lakeway/Lake Travis, Austin, TX Rotary Club Global initiative for developing and introducing 3D printed prosthetic lower limb technology into Tanzania.
The goal of the Rotary 3D Limbs Project is to help meet this need by providing 3D Printed lower limbs to amputee and develop technology, training, educational materials and workshops to hospitals in third world countries. This project will increase the training opportunities for students and professionals in the targeted areas and to provide amputees the opportunity to regain the ability to be self-sufficient individual in their society. Our initial work will take place at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center in Moshi, Tanzania East Africa.
