The month of December saw Steel Magnolia working with Lakeway/ Lake Travis Rotary Club to cover some of the many costs of an artificial leg for a little three year old girl in East Africa. Other firms also contributed. The Thrash Law Firm helped to pay for the first surgery for the child. LEARN, a grant writing firm based in the Hills, paid for costs such as room and board for the parent, transportation and other related costs.
With the support from the greater Lakeway Community, the Lakeway/ Lake Travis Rotary Club and specifically Steel Magnolias, the needs of children in our local community are being met as well as children from around the world.
