  • Adoption Awareness
Each March, our club hosts an Adoption Awareness event.  Our club provides the venue and activities so Texas Child Protective Services can bring together older adoptable children with pre-screened prospective families.  Children and potential parents can spend time together in a casual setting.   This event has facilitated the adoption of nearly 50 children in the past few years.

  • Special Olympics Awards Luncheon
  • For the past seven years, our club has hosted a terrific event that recognizes local students that participate in Special Olympics.  This truly inspirational event provides a venue to award medals and certificates to Lake Travis area athletes.

  • Lake Travis High School and Hudson Bend Middle School Interact Clubs
Interact is a club for youth ages 12-18 who want to connect with others in their community or school. Interact club members have fun while carrying out service projects and learning about the world. Interact clubs organize at least two service projects a year: one that benefits their community and one that encourages international understanding.  Lake Travis High School and Hudson Bend Middle School have newly-energized Interact clubs that are a sanctioned part of school activities.  While Interact clubs receive guidance from individual Rotary clubs, they govern and support themselves and learn leadership skills.

  • Scholarships for Lake Travis High School
A major portion of our fundraising proceeds goes towards scholarships for college and vocational education.    Local high school students fill out an application that delineates both need and merit and our Rotary members conduct interviews and select awardees.  To date, we have awarded more than $450,000 to Lake Travis students.

  • Rotary Youth Leadership Award
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a leadership development program.  Our club selects two students (normally Juniors or Seniors) to attend the week-long RYLA camp.  Students participate in activities and workshops that cover a variety of topics, including Leadership fundamentals and ethics, communication skills, problem solving and conflict management and community and global citizenship.

  • Student of the Month Program
Each month our club honors two deserving Lake Travis High School students by awarding Student of the Month certificates for outstanding character, leadership and community service.   Students are nominated by a teacher and are recognized at club meetings.

  • Support to the Lake Travis Community Library
Rotary raised $50,000 to support building the community library and maintains a conference room in the facility.
